Blue Magazine Issue # 58 September 2005
Blue was a groundbreaking Australian gay men's art magazine launched in Sydney in 1995 and conceived as a high-end "coffee table" publication. Running until 2007, it documented a decade of queer culture before pivoting to a modern format as Blue+.
The publication quickly became a globally respected photography journal. It featured fine art and editorial photography and deep-dive interviews and cultural articles covering art, film, music, and travel. Its explicitly stated mission was to provide authentic, visible, and un-apologetic representation of gay relationships, lifestyles, and political issues.
